For Employees

You have the right to be heard.

Apex is an independent, confidential workplace response service. We exist so that employees have somewhere safe to go — outside their organization — when something at work isn't right.

What you can raise with Apex

You don't need to have a label for what happened. If something at work has affected you, that is enough reason to reach out. Here are some examples of what people come to us with — but this list is not exhaustive.

  • 01Harassment or bullying
  • 02Discrimination
  • 03Workplace conflict
  • 04Retaliation
  • 05Unsafe working conditions
  • 06Inappropriate conduct by a manager or colleague
  • 07Something that doesn't feel right, even if you're not sure what to call it

"You don't need to be certain. You don't need proof. You just need to feel safe enough to say something."

Many people wait too long to come forward because they're not sure their experience is "serious enough." At Apex, there is no threshold you have to meet. If something is affecting you at work, we want to hear from you.

What happens when you reach out

01

You reach out

Contact Apex by phone, web form, or scheduled consultation — whichever feels most comfortable. You can share as much or as little as you choose.

02

We listen

A trained Apex specialist receives your concern with care and without judgment. You will not be rushed, dismissed, or told your experience doesn't count.

03

We document accurately

Your concern is recorded precisely as you describe it — not interpreted, minimized, or shaped to suit anyone's interests. The record belongs to the process, not to your employer.

04

We guide what happens next

Apex provides your organization's leadership with a structured summary and clear recommendations. You are kept informed according to your preferences.

Your rights when raising a concern

The right to be heard

Every concern submitted to Apex is reviewed by a trained specialist. Nothing is dismissed, minimized, or ignored.

The right to confidentiality

Your information is handled under strict confidentiality protocols. It is only shared with authorized personnel as necessary — and never more broadly.

The right to anonymity

You may submit without identifying yourself. Anonymous concerns are taken just as seriously as identified ones.

The right to withdraw

You may withdraw your submission at any time. Apex will confirm the withdrawal and update the record accordingly.

The right to a record

You may request a copy of your submission record. Apex maintains documentation of every concern and the response to it.

The right to protection from retaliation

Retaliation against someone who raises a concern in good faith is prohibited. If you experience retaliation, contact Apex immediately.

Common questions

Will my employer know I submitted a concern?

If you submit anonymously, your identity is not shared with your employer. If you provide contact details, Apex handles that information under strict confidentiality protocols — it is only shared with authorized personnel as necessary to address your concern.

Can I submit anonymously?

Yes. You may submit a concern without providing your name, email, or any identifying information. Anonymous submissions limit our ability to follow up with you directly, but they are taken just as seriously as identified submissions.

What if I'm not sure what I experienced counts as a workplace concern?

You don't need to have a label for what happened. If something at work has affected you — a comment, a pattern of behaviour, a situation that doesn't feel right — that is enough reason to reach out. Apex will help you understand your options.

Will there be consequences for coming forward?

Retaliation against someone who raises a workplace concern in good faith is prohibited. Apex documents every concern and the response to it — which creates a record that protects you. If you experience retaliation after submitting a concern, contact Apex immediately.

What happens after I submit?

Your concern is reviewed by a trained Apex intake specialist, triaged for risk, and documented. If you provided contact details, we will follow up within 2 business days. Your organization's leadership receives a structured summary and recommendations — not a verbatim transcript.

Is Apex part of my employer's HR department?

No. Apex is entirely independent of your employer. We are not employed by your organization, we do not report to your leadership, and we have no stake in the outcome of any concern. Our role is to be a neutral, trusted intermediary.

You don't have to figure this out alone.

Apex is here to listen, to document, and to make sure your concern is handled with the care and seriousness it deserves.
